Implementasi Jurnalisme Berbasis Big Data, Hingga Implikasinya Bagi Dunia Jurnalisme

In this article the author discusses how the application of journalism is based on big data and AI, so the implications can be caused. By using qualitative research methods with a phenomenological approach, the author seeks to narrate the findings of the field regarding the implementation of big data-based journalism, to the impact and solution. The results of this study indicate that the application of the use of big data as a reference source and AI as a journalist robot raises three problems. These three problems are in the form of journalistic rules such as actuality and objectivity that AI and big data cannot do. AI and big data also cannot make feature journalistic products that involve natural human emotions. The presence of AI and big data also threatened the job position of reporters as a profession. The conclusions and solutions offered by the author are the fair division of portions between human reporters and AI and big data in the production of journalistic products, where the role of the supervisor of human reporters is also confirmed when Ai and big data produce journalism products.
